He was predeceased by: his parents, Barnell Foster and Dorothy Smith Foster; his former wife Cathy Foster; and also, Nancy Rutherford and Ray Foster.
He is survived by: his wife Candy Foster; his children, James D. Foster, Jr. (Ashley Foster) and Jenny Foster (Larry Baker); his grandchildren, Jimmy Foster, Dakota Foster, Wesley Foster and Jessica Foster; his great grandchildren, Emma Foster, Ayden Foster, Deaon Foster and Jayden Foster; and his sisters, Janice Foster and Cindy Blair.
