It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Thomas Harvey (Franklin, Georgia), born in Douglasville, Georgia, who passed away on June 24, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Harvey and Thelma Cannon Harvey; his granddaughter Morgan Popejoy; and his sisters, Betty Evans and Janet Aaron.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Minor Harvey of Young Harris; his children, Karla Blackwell and Tommy Harvey of Young Harris; his sister Kathy Harvey of Aiken, SC.; his son-in-law Larry Blackwell of Ooltewah, TN.; his grandchildren, Joshua Harvey, Hannah Manley, Heather Camerio, Risley, Raelyn and Caroline Harvey; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Harvey, Riley Popejoy and Travis Camerio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Youth Fund in Tom's memory.
