With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gavin William Laurie Jr. of Franklin, Georgia, born in Springfield, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 14, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gavin Laurie and Leila Laurie; and his son Gavin W. Laurie, III. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jones Laurie; and his daughters, Annie Laurie Leigh, Bonnie Laurie Sherman (Mike) and Lee Laurie Schroeder (Bud). He is also survived by five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Gavin's name to the Childrens Department at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1504 Macedonia Rd., Newnan, GA 30263.
