With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Massie (Franklin, Georgia), who passed away on December 21, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, T. C. Burnett and Stella Bates Burnett; her husband David Massie; her children, Sharon Wilson and Hank Massie; and her brothers, Denning, Thurston, Morris, Jewel, Gilbert, Gerald and Harry Burnett.
She is survived by: her children, Penny Smith (Neal) of Kansas City, MO and Timothy Massie (Teresa) of Florida; her son-in-law Ronnie Wilson of Franklin; and her siblings, Frances Lear (Kenny) of Canton, NC, William Lee Burnett (Mary) of North Carolina, Charles Ray Burnett (Marchita) of South Carolina and Donald Burnett (Nell) of Florida. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Kindred Hospice in Mrs. Massie's name.
