He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Chapman, Sr. and Mary Butler-Chapman; his former wife Earlie Mae Chapman; his sons, Gregory Chapman and Talmadge Ambrose Williams; and his sisters, Annie Bell Watkins, Rosa Lee Melvin and Louise Fowler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Chapman of Franklin; his children, Victoria Lamar (Paul), Allene Chapman, Allen Chapman, Jr. (Lisa), Sherrett Minton (Arthur) and Chariti Murray; his grandchildren, Tijuana Brown, Antoinette Puckett, Andrea "Nikki" Eberhart, Alterial Chapman, Clarissa Chapman-McLester, Tiffany Chapman, Terita Chapman Shadd, Audia Jones, Sharonte Whipple (Puddin), Amessia Chapman, Arsharye Minton, LaJuan Ford, Jr., Talmadge Amadeus Williams, Dwain O'Neal, Jr., Christian Murray and Komari Clark; his aunt Mildred Butler Brandfur; and his niece Ollie Mae Melvin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
