He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lon Burdett and Estelle Mitchell Goggins Burdett; his wife Robbie Lou Burleson Burdett; his siblings, Edward Calvin Burdett, James Dewey Burdett and Sarah Lou Burdett Alexander; and his grandsons, James Spencer Burdett and David Paul Burdett.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah E. Williams (Ron), William D. Burdett (Susan), Diane Land (Vernon), Calvin D. Burdett (Christina) and Joel Q. Burdett (Barbara); his grandchildren, Brandon Missildine, Mitchell Burdett (Lacie), Jonathan Burdett (Jennifer), Jason Land (Cheryl), Teresa Nowling (Narvie), Adam Burdett (Meghan), Rachel Douglas (Stephen), Macy Kight (Morgan), Clifton Williamson (Kelsie), Wesley Burdett (Michelle), Ashley Reinhart (Blake), Kayce Burdett (Lee) and Emily Ann Burdett; his great grandchildren, Hana Missildine, Breana Missildine, Kayla Burdett, Colton Land, Kimber Land, Kirsten Nowling, Ansley Nowling, Wyatt Burdett, Oliver Burdett, Riley Burdett, Shiloh Spencer Burdett, Kelby Keairns, Harper Moore, Hilton Kight, Kellen Neesmith, Bentlee Williamson and Sterling Douglas; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Burleson, Robbie Burleson, Jan Wyatt, Martha Pate, Doris Burleson, Judy Burleson and Sheila Burleson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Ft Mitchell National Cemetery (553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856).
