With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenda E. Blackwell of Fortson, Georgia, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on February 21, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Joshua Alton-Britton Nicholson; her parents, Elsie Jewell Howard and Glenn Enix; and her brother Johnny Heggood. She is survived by: her husband John H. Blackwell; her siblings, Carol Devaney, Peggy Kendrick, Elaine Armstrong, Sherrill Grantham (Ken), Robert Howard, Herbert Howard (Lynn) and William Howard; her daughter Susan Orr (James); her grandchildren, Brianna Nicholson, Hayden Nicholson, Zachary Cotton and Bailey Orr; and her cousin Kathy Lambert. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
