He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley C. Baxter and Mary Francis Baxter (Hatcher). He is survived by: his children, Michael Baxter (Tina), Joseph Baxter (Heather) and Traci Chesser (Russ); his grandchildren, Jacob (Dixie), Brad, Mary (Daniel), Mitch, Samantha, William (Brittney) and Harrison; his great grandchildren, Fletcher, Bo and Dax; and his siblings, Sue "Suzie" Kensinger (Larry) and Henry Baxter (Karen).
In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked for all donations to be made to the building fund for Second Baptist Church.
