The passing of Virginia Singleton Flournoy of Fort Valley, Georgia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Singleton and Nora Ethridge Singleton; her husband Howard Flournoy; her children, Ray Flournoy and Joyce Barefoot; and her siblings, Paul Peavy, Ike Singleton, Bo Singleton, Linnie Singleton, Dorothy Bryant and Elma Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Wilder (Randy) and William Flournoy; and her sisters, Evelyn Marshall and Mattie Hirth. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rooks Funeral Home (213 W Church St, Fort Valley, GA 31030). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Walnut Cemetery.
