He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Ellis Pernell (Beatrice Wood Pernell) and Master Sergeant Pernell. He is survived by: his significant other Anita McBride; his children, David Pernell, Allison Motes (Sean), Erin Pernell and Eric Pernell (Hannah Quinn); his grandchildren, Emilee Hennings, Aurora Rose Motes, Ariel Lynn Motes, Sean Anthony Motes Jr. and Oliver Alexander Motes; and his siblings, Dan Lee Pernell (Dixie) and Kathy Colvert.
