He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Dennis and Maggie Newberry Dennis; his wife Mary Lou Dennis; his daughter Donna Dennis Davis; and his son-in-law Robby Lee Walton.
He is survived by: his children, Richard A. "Dickie" Dennis Jr. (Evangeline) and Dena Dennis Walton; his grandchildren, Christian Paschall (Hannah), Nichole Johnson (Brent), Kathryn Dennis (Sean McNalley) and Jesse Lee Walton; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Johnson, Evangeline Johnson and Arlen McNalley.
