The memory of Paula Faye Pender Wood of Fort Valley, Georgia, who passed away on December 9, 2024 at the age of 60, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady E. Pender and Lillie Pearl Cadenhead Pender; her husband William D. "Billy" Wood Jr.; her sister Joyce Smith; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Schofill.
She is survived by: her children, Nikki Nelms (James) and Tyler Wood; her grandchildren, Austyn Nelms, S. J. Nelms, Evan Nelms and Ayden Nelms; her siblings, Loretta Schofill and Leonard Pender (Paula); and her sisters-in-law, Karen Barker (Jim) and Sharon Wood-Patat. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chamlee Memorial Baptist Church (1502 Knoxville St, Fort Valley, GA 31030). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
