We bid farewell to Lucy Manzer of Fort Valley, Georgia, born in Ellaville, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 30, 2024 at the age of 93. Lucy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Henry (Elizabeth Alma Delay) and Lucy; her husband Fred W. Manzer Jr.; her son Alfred T. Cortez; and her grandson Christopher Cortez.

She is survived by : her caregivers, Deborah, Dean Cassidy and Ollie Cassidy; her daughters, Kathryn Inez Cortez and Lucille E. "Libby" Howe (Mike); and her granddaughters, Melissa Dawn, Cindy Cortez and Sandra Howe. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rooks Funeral Home (213 W Church St, Fort Valley, GA 31030). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (720 S Camellia Blvd, Fort Valley, GA 31030).
