With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louie Hobbs of Fort Valley, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, G. C. Hobbs and Inez Grant Hobbs; his wife Frances Hobbs; his son Mark Goodwin; his former wife Brenda Hobbs; his siblings, Linda Simmons, Patricia Hortman, Marjorie English, Terry Hobbs and Grover Hobbs; his siblings-in-law, Freddie Jones, Clyde English, Ray Smith, Brown Hortman, Dianne Hobbs and Alice Nell Hobbs; his nephew Frederick Jones; and his niece Glenda English.
He is survived by: his children, Darrell Hobbs, Rodney Hobbs, Dave Goodwin (Cathy) and Dawn Lewis (Barry); his siblings, Larry Hobbs (Ann), Shirley Jones, Bobby Hobbs, Susan Tungate (Jim), Joyce Smith and Cheryl Dorsey (Larry); and his siblings-in-law, Gene Simmons, Dan Harrelson (Gwen) and Tonya Hobbs. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rooks Funeral Home (109 W White Rd, Byron, GA 31008).
