He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pearson and Gladys Garrett Pearson; and his siblings, Jimmy Pearson and Jane Beckham Hulbert. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Richardson Pearson of Perry; his son John; his daughter-in-law April Pearson of Perry; his daughter Sally; his son-in-law Dr. Jonathan Velasquez of Perry; his grandchildren, John Garrett Pearson, Gracie Pearson, Carrie Kinman and Carly Velasquez; his brother Joe; and his sister-in-law Connie Pearson of Fort Valley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Fort Valley (209 S Miller St, Fort Valley, GA 31030). A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (720 S Camellia Blvd, Fort Valley, GA 31030).
