It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Tharpe Jr. of Fort Valley, Georgia, who passed away on February 16, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Tharpe Sr. and Grace Smisson Tharpe. He is survived by: his nephew Dane Cook (Liz McQueen); his sister Betty Grace Tharpe Cook; his nephew Jack Cook (Dane); his niece Amy Vanessa Ryles (Mike); his great-nephew Clayton Ross Ryles; and his aunts, Anne Rigdon and Zelma Smisson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church, 209 S. Miller St., Fort Valley, GA 31030, in memory of Jack.
