Heather Harris Obituary

Heather Nancy Harris, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2023. Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Jeff Frederick will officiate.

Born in Perry, Heather attended Peach County High School where she was a member of the Trojans Flag Corp. She enjoyed being at the lake or on the river so she could fish or hunt for arrowheads. She loved being a mother and cherished her girls.

Survivors include her daughters, Kennah Harris, Stella Smith, and Olivia Buchanan; mother, Peaches Patterson Holder; father, David Harris; sister, Kaylee Greathouse (Joey); brothers, Brian Holder and Ryan Shumate (Kassi); nieces and nephews, Sydney, Mason, Kennedi, and Kohen; her best friend, Stacey Burney; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many more family members and friends. Heather is preceded in death by her boyfriend, Tyler Buchanan, maternal grandparents, Ed and Nancy Patterson, and paternal grandparents, Ilene Braden and David Harris.

Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
