She was predeceased by: her parents, Omar Parsons and Mamie Dobbins Parsons; her husband John Arrington; and her sisters, Marie Waller and Annette Josey.

She is survived by: her children, Elaine Jenkins Lee (Kenneth) and Timothy Jenkins; her grandchildren, Kendra Pierce (Blake), Krista Peterson (Joshua), Nathan Lee (Michelle), Caitlin Welchel (Jeff) and Hannah Wilson (Taylor); and her sister Yvonne Black.
