He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edwin Helms Sr. and Mary Van Helms (Bracewell); his daughter Robin Helms Nix (David); and his siblings, Wayne Helms, Danny Helms and Cynthia Bryant.
He is survived by: his pet Breaking Bad; his wife Carolyn Helms (Frawley); his daughters, Shelly Anne Lindsey and Jennifer Ellen Yawn (Matt); his grandchildren, Jennifer Michelle Duke (Kareem), Jeanette Marie Faulk, Jenna Miranda Faulk, Jacob Matthew Yawn, Joanna Charlene Yawn and Josiah Ezra Yawn; his great grandchildren, Maria, Christopher and Lillian; and his siblings, Cathy Jones, Kim Pitts and Greg Helms.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
