He was predeceased by: his former wife Elizabeth Ann Lindkvist; and his sons, Marty Lindkvist and Eric Lindkvist. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lindkvist; his son Carl Lindkvist; his daughters-in-law, Melinda Lindkvist and Deborah Barnhill Lindkvist; his stepchildren, Pam Smith and Gary Hart; his granddaughters, Breanna Lindkvist, Serena Lindkvist and Nikkole Barnhill Lindkvist; and his friend Don Agustin (Deanna).
