It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Odell Garrett Jr. (Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia), who passed away on July 26, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Odell Garrett Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, May Yancey and Lewis Odell Garrett, Sr.; his brother Jesse; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Elwanda Lassetter Poteet; his wife Wanda Lynn Poteet; his children, Sherry McDonald (Denny) of Gallatin, TN, Perry (Betty) of Hendersonville, TN, Jim (Christina) of Soddy-Daisy, TN, Spencer (Staci) of Kingston Springs, TN and Tracey (Connie); and his nephew Rick Qualls (Kathy) of Sparta, TN. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
