It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jane Bowen of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas Morris and Eliza Elizabeth Willis Morris; her husband Ben Bowen; and her siblings, Amy Morris Stubblefield, Willie T. Morris Perry, Jennie Frances Morris, Margaret Elizabeth Morris, Cal Russell Morris and James Paul Morris.
She is survived by: her children, Alex Bowen (Stella), Paul Bowen (Jan Mellon) and Christa Bowen Stoker; her sisters, Elaster Sells, Flora Rogers, Lois Cunningham and Jimmie Steele; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Bowen and Lydia Bowen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
