She was predeceased by: her parents, Ranel Owens and Ruth Owens (Broyles); the father of her children Jim Mathis; her husband Doyle Ellis; and her siblings, Claude, David, Lawrence, Elsie, June and Maggie.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy, Steve, Mathis of Signal Mt and Lawrence; her sister Norma Grimes of Scottsboro, Ala; her grandchildren, Darion, Dionne and Michael; and her great grandchildren, Joseph, Dexter, Cannon and Sienna.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
