He was predeceased by: his stepfather James Poplin; his brother Jeremy Hooper; and his grandparents, Ray, Billie Ashley, Colleen and James Chauncey.

He is survived by: his son Nick Hooper; his mother Deborah Poplin (Leslie Goodwin) of Ringgold; and his aunt Jackie Hegwood.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
