James Long Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2025, at the age of 88, James Long of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Long and Fannie Long. He is survived by: his daughter Kim; and his son-in-law Shelby Potter.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Lakewood Memory Gardens South (325 Greens Lake Rd, Rossville, GA 30741).
