With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Wiley Smith (Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia), who passed away on December 23, 2019 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Wiley Smith to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Mamie Smith; and his siblings, Robert Lee, Kenneth, Naomi and Mack.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Faye; his sons, Gregory (Leeanne) and Steven (Cindy); his grandchildren, Jack (Kate), Matt (Nicole), Josh (Amber), Justin (Angie), Brent and Ashley McClendon (Colton); and his sisters, Ina Clemens and Joyce Bufford of Scottsboro, AL.. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe.
