It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Bernard Zipp Sr. (Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William Charles Zipp; his former wife Ruby Inez Zipp; his children, Phyllis Kay Gordon, Edwin B. Zipp, Jr. and Marsha Coots; and his siblings, Charles Zipp and Doris Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Crawford-Zipp; his children, Rickey Zipp (Lydia), Kelley L. Zipp, Gayla Turner (Brian) and Kathy Hicks (Barry); and his grandchildren, Richard Tirado, Robert Gordon, Erica Rodgers, Megan Zipp-Norris, Bethany Freer, Isaac Zipp, Seth Zipp and Julia Masengale. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
