He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Gertrude Blevins; his daughter Martha Elizabeth Smith; his grandson Gator David Smith; his parents, Noah Blevins and Minnie Blevins; and his siblings, Noah Blevins, Jr., Eddie Blevins, Roy Blevins, Wyatt Blevins, James Blevins, William Blevins, Glenn Blevins, Annie Holbrooks, Janie Archer and Dorothy Broom.
He is survived by: his daughters, Phyllis Derrick Williams, Stephanie Marie Wasilchin and Lynn Teresa Derrick; and his sister Faye Sayre. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
