He is survived by: his children, Catherine Elizabeth Smith of Houma and James Collier Dillard, Jr (Heidi) of Ider; his grandchildren, James Collier Dillard, III, Rachel A. Davenport and Robert E. Davenport; his brother William E. Dillard, Jr. of Columbus; and his sister-in-law Paula Dutton of Douglasville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
