He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Clifton Plowden, Sr. and Mary Sanderlin Plowden; and his daughter Amanda Lynn Plowden. He is survived by: his spouse Marcia Kelly Plowden; his children, Kelly Plowden of Thomasville, GA, Wendy Adams (Lee), Vann Plowden (Kristina), Shane Plowden (Michael Gaines) and Logan Plowden; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Adams, Cade Schroeder, Peyton Williams, Christian Schroeder and Grace Plowden.
