It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margurite Smith of Fort Benning, Georgia, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on May 23, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. T. Bowden and Sara Watts Bowden. She is survived by: her husband Walter Smith; her children, Tressa Douglas and Melanie Smith; and her siblings, Frank Brown (Elizabeth), William Brown (Vanessa), Robert Bowden, Harold Bowden, Joyce Grier (Norman), Bonita Jackson and Angela Relf (Cyrus). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
