He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hughes (Bankhard); his children, Kelly (Nicholas Bonsignore), Elizabeth (Michael Sanchez) and John G. Hughes, III (Catherine); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Aaron, Daniel, Christopher, Jake, Chase, Riley and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Cayson and Clara; and his sister Anne Hughes Hinnen (Katie Sawyer).
