He was predeceased by: his parents, Lance Murphy and Jean Taft Crawford; his son Erin Murphy; and his sister Barbara Thobois. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his daughter Melinda Davis of Forsyth; his grandson Eric Davis of Forsyth; his brother Robert Murphy (Julia) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; his foster children, Jamie McSherry of Newnan and Christine White of Oroville, CA; and his close friend Clyde Cunningham of Stockbridge. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.
