She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Vaughan and Florence Vaughan; her daughter Katherine Lynn Basel (Craig Basel); her brother Joseph Franklin Vaughan, Jr. (Susan Vaughan); her grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas and Kathleen; her great grandchild Austin; and her husband Colonel Thornton Aiken Burns, Jr..
