He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Emerson Fort and Nannie Andrews Fort; his wife Lillian Fishel Fort; and his sisters, Marguerite Craven, Nancy Fitts and Kate Baity.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Fort (Barbara) and Hubert Fort (Marty); and his grandchildren, Heather Nassaur, Christopher Fort, Melanie Horton, Harrison Fort and Jessica Klingerman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Due to concerns about Covid-19, a graveside service will be held for immediate family members only at Salem Moravian Graveyard with Rev. John Jackman, Bishop Graham Rights, and Rev. Bill McElveen officiating.
