She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Donato Barrera and Felicia Serrano; her husband Ricelo; her siblings, Donato Barrera Jr. and Migdora Cruz; her children, Barbara Woodward (Dale) of Forsyth and Alex Vento (Carla) of Monroe County; her sisters, Mery Martinez (Jose), Noemi Marimon and Marta Diaz of Miami; and her granddaughters, Emily McCallister of Marietta and Amelia Vento of Monroe County.
