She is survived by: her children, Richard Carl Mullis of Forsyth and Chistopher Clay Mullis of Perry, Georgia; her grandson Christopher Michael Mullis; and her siblings, J. C. Starr, Virginia Funderburk, Bill Starr (Kathy) and Barbara Howell (John). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
