It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Lynn Basel (Forsyth, Georgia), who passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thornton Akin and Susan Vaughan Burns, Jr. of Forsyth, GA.; her husband Craig Basel; her children, Christian Basel of Dallas, TX, Nick Basel (Emily Kitterman) of Atlanta, GA and Katie Basel (Curt Timma); her grandchildren, Austin and Ellie Sue Timma; her uncle J. Frank Vaughan (Sue) of Forsyth, GA; and her cousins, Mackenzie Rosser (Elton) of Forsyth, GA and Meredith Kurtzahn (Mike) of Cumming, GA..
