He is survived by: his children, Connie Verdree of Lithonia, Cynthia Miller (Dwayne) of Monticello, Bishop Herrington, Sr. (Janet) of Forsyth, John Herrington (Paula) of Snellville, Trent Herrington (Monique) of McDonough, Rodale Herrington (Rosa) of McDonough and Derrick Earley of Philadelphia; and his siblings, Catherine Thorn of Harrisburg and Leroy Herrington of Philadelphia. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
