He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edd and Willie G. Bolden; and his siblings, James, Johnny Bolden and Wilma Major.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Boles Bolden; his children, Christopher Hugh Bolden (Susan), Kimberly Bolden Scott and Jennifer Bolden Abbett (Kevin); his grandchildren, Madison Bolden, Ryan Bolden, Parker Scott, Sydney Scott, Mason Cantrell and Kiley Cantrell; and his sister Gwendolyn Wilkins.
