He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Tillman Long and Mary Lizzie Coleman; his spouse Mary Jackson Long; his daughters, Sandra Waldrep (Jimmy) and Susan Pearce (Gerral); his grandson Brian Todd Smith (Mary Kay); and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew and Mary Margaret Smith. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
