Bessie Turner Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bessie Turner of Forsyth, Georgia, who passed away on October 22, 2021 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dozier Johnson and Pearl Johnson; her husband Alfred Turner; her children, Erlene and Fred; and her daughter-in-law Karen.

She is survived by: her children, Mildred Aldridge (Bobby), Edith Brown (Jimmy), David and John (Mary Jo); and her sister Sue Johnson Rigsby. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

In late May 2020, at the age of 101 she was diagnosed with having COVID-19.

She was a member of the American Cancer Society and helped raise funds for them and for The March of Dimes.
