He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J Tierney and Sophie Cutler Tierney; and his siblings, John Tierney, Paul Tierney and Patricia Sawtelle.
He is survived by: his partner Beverly O'neal; his sisters, K. Wanda Makela and Judith Gillogly; his children, David McPartlan, Karen and Mary Tierney; his stepdaughters, Angie Brewer and Robin Roache; his grandchildren, David McPartlan Jr., Bridget McPartlan, Josh, Adam Cregg, Corey Starr, Kelley Santiago, Jacob, Gregory Giguere, Kristen Brown, Amber Dean, Jessica Archer and Jay Brewer; and his great grandchildren, John, Ella, Jace, Leah Starr, Riley, Cooper Santiago, Nathan Schattell, Aiden, Aubrey Brown, Emilia, Harper, Maisie Dean and Ansley Archer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
