He was predeceased by: his parents, James Abner Butts and Amanda Sanders Butts. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Marie Butts (Logan Phillips) of Gainesville, FL. and Ryan Patrick Butts (Roxanne) of Fayetteville; and his brothers, Jimmy Butts (Diane) of Dunwoody and Freddie Butts of Yatesville.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Forty and Eight at 3061 West Pine Valley Rd. NW Atlanta, GA 30305.
