She is survived by: her sister Irma Mandana Simon Harris; her husband Cecil Sutphen; her sister Clemmye Marie Simon Crawford of Tuscaloosa, AL; her daughters, Sussan Kaye Sutphen (Jackie Moore) of Atlanta, GA, Diane Carol Sutphen of Milwaukee, WI and Lady Cecil Sutphen (Gerard Wilkes) of Forest Park, IL; her grandchildren, Morgan Justine Wilkes and Shelbie Elizabeth Wilkes; her great grandchild Isaiah Andrew Wilkes; and her nephew William Stephen Crawford Jr. of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by other relatives, and friends.
Her goal was to provide a solid educational and social skills foundation for every child she taught.
