He is survived by: his wife Doris Safrit; his daughters, Kelly Lewis (Bill) of Forest Park and Lori Howard of Crofton, MD; his daughter-in-law Lisa Safrit; his son Craig Safrit (Krista) of McDonough; and his grandchildren, Kathleen, Audrey, Claire, Thomas, Ian, Sarah and Daniel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
