He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Shepherd; his mother Gloria Martin; and his brothers, Tony Martin and William Martin. He is survived by: his son Michael Cuthrel; his grandchildren, Kandyse Carter and Kameon Carter; and his brother Ricky Marin (Sandra). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
