He was predeceased by: his parents, William Haywood Highsmith and Sallie Myrtle Burrell Highsmith. He is survived by: his children, Zachary Collin Highsmith (Ashlynn), Joseph Ethan Highsmith, Kala Nettles (Jess), Whitney Sierra Dorman and Shelby Nicole Johnson; and his brother Gerald Highsmith.
