He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Bird and Kelli Powers (Randy); his stepchildren, Benny Peavey and Julie Stevens; his grandchildren, Brendon Cole Powers (Kylie), Lane Gilley and Shea Gilley (Marina); and his sisters, Anne Kerr and Joan Bird. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Camp Pinckney Baptist Church (72 Camp Pinckney Rd, Folkston, GA 31537).
