He was predeceased by: his father Hugh Buchanan. He is survived by: his siblings, Pamela Hicks (Jeffrey) of Hilliard, FL and Wray Buchanan (Janell) of Waycross, GA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
